Early Hemi Story - Looking for info

    Reproduction Grilles 70 RR

Been comparing the cost of restoring an 70 Road Runner grille vs a reproduction. I spoke with Richard at Carlisle and he had experience with the OER and Trim Parts grilles with Trim Parts being the nicer of the two. Trim Parts grilles are discontinued though and does not have any left. Vans Auto...

Voodoo Rising - A Build Thread

I just asked for '66 to match the year of the car, honestly didn't know there was a difference. The sample paint dot on the lid looks quite dark, which I am totally fine with. I prefer darker vs lighter. I am sure it'll lighten up when I start to spray it on the light grey primer. I got the...

Dash cluster original color and apperance

Can anyone remember the original apperance of the dash cluster and dash vent panel. The colors may not be the same for all years, 71 to 74. I remember them having the black streaks along with the brown color giving it a wood looking apperance. Is that correct? This one I am working on has the...

    Vintage Mopars in traffic

Wonder if that was an old Cop car / Taxi? In So Cal many taxi companies would buy old cop cars. They were cheap, well maintained and could take a beating. I would see tons of Taxi Cab Diplomats in the 90's that were old "K" vinned police cars with A38 handling packages.

Outside mirrors for 2nd generation Chargers

My '79 Chrysler has some version of the painted, sport mirrors. I got used to them, but I would look over my shoulder to double-check blind spots. Out forward on the fenders is more practical, but NO THANKS!

Noticed some oil on the ground and found my Dipstick holder not connected to oil pan. How do I fix this?

Should fit snug into the block. I used to use an open end wrench at the ridge to tap the tube into the block. Seems like a 1/2" wrench fit. Put the open end over the tube at the ridge, tap the wrench as close to the tube with a small hammer

    steering column universal

Rebuilding my steering column on my 65 Belvedere. I bought the black seal with the clamping cover for the universal housing. The cover looks to be a little thicker and the tabs to seal it to the coupler also appear to be slightly short than the original. I tried clamping before closing the tabs...

    Is this block junk?

I'd sure get it to a shop that could look at it, and check it out. Then get a price quote on fixing it. I agree, from here it looks like a sleeve would fix it. Number matching block would be worth saving to me.
