'74 Charger SE Front Frame Rail, Fixable, or Replace?

I had similar rust in the same exact area on my 62 Dart, except it extended all the way to the torsion bar cross member, included the cross member, floor, firewall, cowl, etc. Back to the front frame rail, I cut out the section needed from a donor. Drilled holes in the 'new' section and the...

    WTB Anybody have a shipping crate for A-833 4 speed (69 B-body) ?

Captain Obvious here! Yes they do. Cardboard saves weight over wood and the Styrofoam keeps it safe. Make a box out of cardboard, double it up, wrap the trans in plastic, set it on a piece of 2x4, fill the box with spray foam, leave open for expansion. When it dries, cut foam in half...

Hemi 4 speed and A-833 difference.

GFI designed, built, and serviced the A855 from day 1. Jamie washed his hands of it, only if your trans had an issue, as did GFI, and Huff. All 3 are incompetent, knew it was defective, and kept selling it while raising the price. GFI also builds the Hemi 4 speed overdrive gear set for Passon...

    62 Dash Radio Speaker

I know a 62 Dart without a radio would come with black plastic behind the giant dash speaker grill. I know my 62 Valiant has a plastic mount for the dash speaker. Anyone have a pic of what the 62 dash speaker/mount looks like?

    Recover your own seats.

Done a number of my cars. Buy the good pliers and rings. A few things I learned: I bought the straight and 90 degree pliers, never used the 90. If the old covers have the metal rod inserts save and reuse in the new covers. If the original foam is in very good shape, and molded, consider...

    Another Interesting Tidbit

I was there at that exact moment! It skipped over a few tents, but picked one up, flipped and launched it. Crazy.

    OEM Glue removal

Used to have to order online, now iirc it's available at local stores. This stuff removed all the undercoat on my Dart.

Crappy cars that have become classics.

How about a 1988 S-10 Sport 5 speed? The Sport was the first ZQ8, has the code. Mine came out of the woods on a farm where it sat since 1994. Rust free, a little time and parts and it's a daily. Needs some finishing still, but in good shape, these small square bodies are worth not nothing.

    OEM Glue removal

Goo Gone, the automotive version. It removes undercoating as well. Let it soak in.

What material have some of you use for " Hard Board headliner material ?

I made a package tray for my Valiant using very thin plywood wrapped with material from a craft store. Plywood was very inexpensive, material was $17 for a half roll, which was more than what was needed. I need a headliner as well for my 62 Dart, last thing to finish my interior. I might use...

    Flat Orange General Lee? Opinions.

Too many GLs leads to comradery and different versions. Same is true for the police cars. It was a sight to see. Owners were all fantastic. There were also too many Petty cars, but scattered, get them together Petty people.

Flat red Christine looked very cool, and no shiny paint to worry about.

Who has dared to drive across country in a classic Mopar?

Just did 2,500 miles for Power Tour 2025. 383 tunnel ram 4 speed. Swapped the A833 for an OD A833 before the trip.
