Maybe not much help, but when my '63 Savoy wagon needed a new cardboard headliner, I got it from Jim Kramer.
It went in well, think it was around $500 maybe - that was about 10 years ago. Sedan/HT would have likely cost less.
A few people you might try are Reed Koeppe, Jim Kramer, Wes Eiscenschenk (Lost Musclecars on FB), and the known Mopar SS racers in the Southeast.
Race cars have a habit of being passed around to other racers or collectors, likely with a different livery, but often their past history is known...
Something interesting is the upper fender & quarter moldings - I've only seen those on '62 Sport Furys, and I think they were added mid-model-year, but can't confirm that.
Cool car, and IMO reasonably priced - unfortunately, I just don't need another car.
I think REM is the manufacturer for the headliner - when I needed all the cardboard headliner pieces for my '63 wagon some years back, I got them from Jim Kramer.
If the car doesn't have a fan shroud, add one - that's worked wonders for me.
You can also speed up the fan with a smaller diameter water pump pulley.
Air hitting the rad support area should ideally be directed solely to the radiator.
I personally dislike add-on fans in front of the radiator, as...
My '69 AC Road Runner - dead original CA car, St Louis build - had the turquoise 330HP engine and an AVS.
A buddy had the same deal ('69 RR 383 w/AC - turquoise & AVS), though I don't recall his car's assembly plant.
My non-AC '69 RRs all had orange 335HP engines - so I'm very familiar with the...
Wow - I didn't expect to learn that '69 383s could have a Holley !
Thanks for saving me a lot of money had I bet against that with someone.
(I'm not being sarcastic: I've probably owned 6-7 original '69 RRs - with & without AC, Calif & 49-state, 4-speed & AT - and every one had an AVS.
What a great thread, with excellent documentation - I respect & applaud the effort to maintain the originality, and the car is gorgeous.
Also, thanks to the guys that offered tips on products & such.
My pair - SPDs exactly a year apart, which I didn't plan but find amusing - are in my avatar. Y2...
Nice job on the car !
FWIW, the plastic rear wheelhouse covers are "gold" (no pun intended) - very hard to find in good condition.
Yes, Restoration Specialties is a great outfit - I used them on the '63 & '64 wagons I restored, and on other cars.
Look for a little strap with barbed ends that...
"Poly" = metallic; one of my favorite Mopar colors. The '65 Belvedere photo is accurate. It does react to light. No red cast, it's more greenish on the color wheel. Here's a shot of my '63.
Love it - uncommon color, basic spec, pretty much how they were intended to be.
Check rt side of engine about mid-point just above the oil pan rail for partial or full VIN, likewise one side of the trans above its pan (don't recall which side, long time since I've had an AT). Fender tag will...
I remember the hood treatments from when the cars were new - dealer lots and 2 buddies' cars - sheen was dead flat, and if you got any wax on it, good luck getting it off. I don't recall any metallic but definitely a roughness - something like sandpaper, like the suede interior finish - but...
