yeah, on mine i would set the dialback to zero and it would hold steady timing... but if i went off zero, i would rev the engine, the timing would advance, then go way back.. then advance again. Glad you found it : )

And the mustang... i actually love ford engines, hate the suspension.. i had to work on a GT500KR with my brother bout 20 years ago.. i hated that car. For a radiator i just went with a new aluminum, cheaper and zero issues so far but not...
he is wrong :( that thing is beautiful... Plus.. it only has the original paint 1 time... my 62 is original paint other than the fenders...it's not perfect but i like that....
Don't think it was mentioned but are you using a dial back light or just a normal no frills light? I had a dial back and my timing would do that.. grabbed a normal light and issue went away..
K. thing is about as solid as i have ever felt a car.. feels like a tank, the trans is really nice.. steering is really heavy..which i knew it would be.. just need to get used to it
