Low to high '90's with stupid high humidity to below 60 last night - almost had to turn the heat on this morning! I'll take heat over cold any day but here in the northeast the heat almost always comes with the humidity.
Need two things- first is dimensions for holes for relay on firewall as I neglected to get them before doing some repair work in that area. Second is pics of cowl contour as I know mine is caved in but not sure how much - is it almost flat or is there a curve to it looking from the sides?
Yes, I recently learned that about the T/A wheels - very strange the lower more "budget" line Plymouth AAR got Rallyes as standard but the higher line Dodge T/A it was an option, reverse of the Rallye gages which were standard on the performance Challengers but optional on `cudas.
I`m sure at least some dealer ordered cars had the fancier full hubcaps or Rallye or other wheel option for the showroom floor as we know dealers make money good on the options so showcasing them to buyers would help sales. We also know that many cars did come with dog dishes as they were...
I wonder what percentages of dog dishes vs full hubcaps vs Rallye or Road wheels and other options were from the factory? I look at old dealership pics and see a variety of wheels on new cars, full hubcaps seemed to be fairly common but you rarely see them on old Mopars today.
Ok, I`ll admit to owning two Mopars with steel wheels and caps, everything else gets aftermarket, period correct ones. One was a `76 van /6, 3 spd with OD on the floor, it had carpet and paneling and the dream was to finish customizing the outside with mags, sidepipes etc. but never happened and...
It seems I see dog dishes or Rallyes on 90% of the Mopars nowadays or if not Ford style Magnums. C`mon guys be different instead of copying everyone else! What happened to variety, uniqueness and being different than the crowd? There are some cars that Rallyes and even dog dishes fit and look...
I use these wheels for cleaning up metal with minor surface rust, heavier rust obviously requires bead or sand blasting. Tip for saving money - Lowes sells a single wheel for $8 and change but a double wheel is only $10 and change and if I need to get into a tighter area I can take the double...
Been a busy few weeks - we got a permanent foster kid placement the beginning of the month, two kids birthdays, getting the old camper set up at the campground for the next month and course my Carlisle trip but back at it today. The rear end was a nice break from bodywork but I need to get that...
Correct, I guess I should have added that info. The year code is the first year that formula was used and in the case of B5 they kept the same color code but changed the formula slightly hence the different year codes. Thanks for clarifying.
and yes, your best bet is to have it scanned and the computer picks the whatever formula is the best match whether it`s the correct factory one or a 1986 Yugo color.
V2 is technically the code, the E or other letter is the designation for the first year it was used. Hemi Orange is the same as Tor-Red, Vitamin C is the same as Go-Mango.
