I also figured out how they did the sound effects for the blasters around 1980-
I went to a local park and tapped on a 16 foot aluminum bleacher that no one was sitting on.
It was dang near 100% dead on.
What they really did was pluck a telephone pole guy wire like a guitar string.
Sounds...
The first time I saw one of those circa 1979, I suspected this and just about 10 years ago it was confirmed-
was the inspiration for the Imperial Star Destroyers in Star Wars.
Confirmed by George Lucas himself.
Nice.
From the factory, the center filler extended under the corner fillers about 1/2 inch.
There is a molded step in the corner filler to accept this.
I disagree about 66/67 being heavy cars.
A 2 door "23" body 66/67 is light as hell.
Almost as light as an A body.
...but the 340 was introduced in 68.
71-73 RR and Charger 340 cars could have 3 or 4 speed manual trans not all 727.
71 through 73 came with 8 3/4 axle.
Sometime in the 7-74...

I was not interested in a "starter home".
I also had a list of four things that I would accept any three of, and three things that I would not accept at all.
Despite that, I went through four agents that kept showing me three houses that either did not have 3 of the 4 or had one of the...
...and that brings up another type-
The type that doesn't understand the difference between:
"do you still have the item?"
and
"I see your car is a 66 with a 67 front clip, do you still have any of the 66 parts, by any chance?"
If they can't tell which is a scam.......
I'd say 70% will on stuff I respond to.
I just figure the 30% that won't ain't worth dealing with because of the "types of people" rules, and shrug it off to the margin of "doing business" in that forum.
1967 wagons all has pass side mirrors from the factory. they are in the exact same position as the driver's side.
IMO, the main issue regarding "lack of useful visibility" is the "standard" glass that is not curved, like today's "objects in mirror are closer than they appear", wide vision...
That brings up one more type of person you meet on CL-
The person that doesn't understand how modern communication works.
They don't understand that secure email benefits both parties.
They don't understand that email or text allows both parties to have a record of the information.
They don't...
No, no you don't.
I've done many, many transactions without any phone contact.
If you do make contact, outside CL, on the phone, that person now has your personal phone number...for ever.
I'll take them for $100 or less total if they are in useable condition, freeze plugs excepted.
I "gave" my BIL my extra set of 906 heads for $50 and he tried to sell me back a set with a disassembled 361 for $300.
IDK.
It looks nice.
That's the "non-sport" mirror.
They changed the mounting pretty radically for 75, with stamped, "hemispherical" indentations in the door skins.
I tried to make a pair of 75 and up sport mirrors work on a 74 by drilling holes....
...FAIL.
I still have the really nice...
Just for the hell of it-
Transport a running, driving 66 Coronet 4 speed car from Oregon to Florida.
???
NOT a show car, open transport is fine and preferred.
I'm in negotiations with a member and shipping cost may play a role.
