    727 rebuild at home

With the book you bought, follow it and you’ll be fine. Hole in the bench helps with assembling the rear clutch especially the piston with the inner and outer lip seals. I also stack up the front and rear drums on the pump and do an air check outside the case before install. If you run Teflon...

Heading for Mopar Madness at Dragway 42

$90 for the day Sunday. If you just run no box/pro, you’ll be just as evenly paired with most of the class. Or if you have a car that will fit in NSS.

Heading for Mopar Madness at Dragway 42

My team and I are all headed for 42 this weekend. Probably 8 racers or so. Plus other friends we know. Should be a blast of a weekend and temps are only getting up to mid to upper 70s. Much more comfortable than the 90 degree and 4200’ days we have been racing in. I hope to see some people there...

Opinions needed. Gut my race trans for good parts or build another with new street parts?

Personally, I would just take out the low gear set and the RMVB. Replace it with a stock ratio front planetary, sun shell, your new A&A valve body, and run it. You already spent the money for the trans to be built for safe track use. May as well get your moneys worth and drive it on the street.

Had a good day racing my dads Roadrunner

Thanks guys. I’m very fortunate growing up with my dad having this car as most of what I learned and began with started here. It’s a fun ride. Lucky that he lets me drive it still. A Lot of people make jokes about us racing it because it’s an original J code Hemi 4 speed Dana hardtop car 22k...

Had a good day racing my dads Roadrunner

New to FBBO but also a member of FABO and Moparts. Last weekend, dad let me race his Roadrunner on Saturday in no box in addition to racing my Demon in box class. Hot day. 4300’ DA, 91 degrees, 101 water grains, 28.77” BP, 60% humidity, 1.107 correction factor. Dad was struggling on Friday with...

    Transmission problem?

Is this an automatic shift vehicle? Or manual valve body? Either way, sounds like you have to start at step one. Check the shifter linkage. That can cause all kinds of issues. Then Check fluid level with car off in park. Note where the fluid is at on the stick (it should read high from sitting...

Pro Bracket Radials vs. Bias slicks

With a 4 link you will be able to adjust the car to run the radial tire. But I don’t doubt it will take some adjusting to get it to work especially on marginally prepped tracks. The big thing with radials compared to a bias ply slick (and I’m sure you’ve read this) is the bias ply slick can spin...

    B&M shift cable routing

One of the biggest PITA we have found with my dad’s Hemi Roadrunner is pulling the passenger valve cover to run valves. Need to disconnect the top of the shock and loosen the rebound and compression and push the shock below the inner fender to get the valve cover off. Fun times. I sure hope you...

    Fuel Cell Foam care

I ditched the foam in my fuel cell as with my dad’s car. But I run 112 race gas so it’s not corrosive like E85 or methanol
