I just had a system built with Flowmaster flowfx mufflers, I have a wussy 318 but it’s pretty quiet. Somehow quieter than my 2000 Crown Vic with the old style flowmasters on an otherwise stock exhaust including catalytic converters.

Only long enough for the gauge to read. It should move almost immediately when you ground it as stated above. If it doesn’t respond within just a few seconds it’s not going to.
