The first time I saw one of those circa 1979, I suspected this and just about 10 years ago it was confirmed-
was the inspiration for the Imperial Star Destroyers in Star Wars.
Confirmed by George Lucas himself.
Replace pistons is the better way to go.
Intake manifold still fits, overbore cylinders and have great ring seal. Maybe spend some money on some quality lighter pistons.
Must take it all down to nothing to machine the block deck surface.
Nice.
From the factory, the center filler extended under the corner fillers about 1/2 inch.

71-73 RR and Charger 340 cars could have 3 or 4 speed manual trans not all 727.
71 through 73 came with 8 3/4 axle.
Sometime in the 7-74...

Is it the same as on a '70? On my Charger, the headlight doors have an adjuster screw that limits the rotation, and the screw end butts up against a rubber stopper when closed, like pnora said.
The adjuster screw is the silver one in the foreground, I had to install longer ones because the...
I like to copy Pypes “hybrid” system, 3” head pipes off the collectors, 3” x pipe and neck down to 2.5” at the muffler inlet. Then run dynomax ultra flos, 2.5” offset/offset will be the quietest.
