    low comp 383

Replace pistons is the better way to go. Intake manifold still fits, overbore cylinders and have great ring seal. Maybe spend some money on some quality lighter pistons. Must take it all down to nothing to machine the block deck surface.

    73 Roadrunner rear bumper filler

Nice. From the factory, the center filler extended under the corner fillers about 1/2 inch. There is a molded step in the corner filler to accept this.

    No continuity on override switch.

Easiest way I found was to work backwards. At the connector where the engine harness connects to the forward light harness, you can pull it apart and put 12v directly to the feed wires on the forward light harness side and see if they open and close. I think it’s the red and purple wires. I used...

    B Bodies & 340’s

I disagree about 66/67 being heavy cars. A 2 door "23" body 66/67 is light as hell. Almost as light as an A body. ...but the 340 was introduced in 68. 71-73 RR and Charger 340 cars could have 3 or 4 speed manual trans not all 727. 71 through 73 came with 8 3/4 axle. Sometime in the 7-74...

    Headlight door adjustment

Is it the same as on a '70? On my Charger, the headlight doors have an adjuster screw that limits the rotation, and the screw end butts up against a rubber stopper when closed, like pnora said. The adjuster screw is the silver one in the foreground, I had to install longer ones because the...

Suggestions wanted for QUIET good flowing mufflers (sleeper build)?

I like to copy Pypes “hybrid” system, 3” head pipes off the collectors, 3” x pipe and neck down to 2.5” at the muffler inlet. Then run dynomax ultra flos, 2.5” offset/offset will be the quietest.

    No continuity on override switch.

I ran a jumper wire and they still didn’t close. I’m not getting any continuity open or closed.

    Old diesel trucks

I can’t blame anyone for running an older vehicle with the emissions repairs hitting the roof and dependability in the can and initial upfront cost above all it doesn’t make sense .. if you take care of it, it will pay for itself, gas or diesel powered.

FOR SALE Mickey Thompson small block V8 valve covers, aluminum

Mickey Thompson M/T small block LA engine valve covers, aluminum. Straight and in excellent condition. Great way to stop leaks from 50+ year old stamped steel valve covers that have been bent, over-tightened. I bought them to replace the valve covers on a 318 V8. I never used them because I...

    Welp, This SUCKS!

First trip out with this car, not 3 miles from home and I took a rock from a dumptruck. I was sick, the paint on this car was flawless. Luckily, it hit the cowl vent and while it did chip, it was easily fixed. Could have been much worse. Not to minimize your pain, but just a little...
