    If you do the math the side clearance isn't the restriction of oil exit flow at the rod bearing. It's the rod bearing to crank clearance. I've never talked to anybody that ran wide side clearance where it caused an issue. Doug

    This. When someone says “Thank you” the proper response is indeed “You’re welcome”. Saying “no problem” or “it was nothing” trivializes or minimizes the deed. Great to see that I wasn’t the only one that was raised this way.

    Thanks but my grille is straight and even across. The 64 Fairlane one is curved at the ends for the inner headlight
