Hell, I know where a 73 340 4 speed can be had.

I have a day 2 type 340 almost ready for assembly in the shop. LD340. Hyd. Roller. Stock 894 heads. Going to try to talk him into a dyno day. I am curious about it.

I love the 340's and have had a couple that really cooked back in the day. Today though I would do the stroker crank in a 360 block and aftermarket heads as well.

I would feel a little better with a safety margin.

I doubt a rattle can rebuild nets you a profit. I wouldn't spend money on a 432. It either works for you with cam, intake, headers, carb or keto the 340

If it still has the 340 free floating wrist pins a piston swap is simple. I don't have much faith in anything sold by speedmaster. They likely need to be gone through.

My understanding is that HP 340 B body manifolds are extremely hard to find and expensive. The application should fit and work good.
