Thank you all.
The PCV valve is in the left hand rocker cover. The hose from the RH cover is in place to the carb, without the breather fitting. Spliced and made to work. I will get the non Edelbrock breather that fits these rocker covers.
Just wrapping up this thread. I bought another Lower Ball Joint (TRW NOS) and took off the "loose one". After removing the "loose one" I found there's no real play in the ball. While it moves easier than the one I just bought, it's still tight. Long story short, there's nothing wrong with the...
So typical of the "Greatest Generation." I recently discovered that the original owner of my GTX, and my dad both served together in the Phillipines in the Army Air Corps. Dad worked on construction of landing strips, and early scouting for locations, both men left college to enlist. Bill...
Bought this ‘69 Coronet 440 two days ago. Original body panels and original paint. Only rust is in the center of the trunk pan. Has a transplanted 318/904 out of a ‘68 Barracuda. (Original 318 had a trashed cylinder). First Chrysler I’ve ever purchased (I’m 67yrs old).
Thanks for the add on...
Thanks for all the replies.
Before I took the truck to the dealer, I did try a few local shops. They all could only get a "rebuilt" module and I would still need to go to dealer for software flashes. Because my 4 year old grandson often rides with me, I decided to have the dealer repair it. I...
One valve cover has the PCV with a hose to the carb base for vacuum, and the other has a breather w/o nipple or with nipple to the air cleaner. The carb via the PCV valve has to draw air from one side, thru the crankcase, and out of the other side. You cannot expect a hose from the carb to the...
FWIW, recently my Barracuda fusible went intermittent on a drive three blocks from home. The engine starts popping and back firing. Alternator gauge swinging back and forth charge discharge. Fortunately, it made it home. Shut it down, try to restart....nothing. Not even a click. Cleaned the BH...
I’ve been collecting parts for the last year to install a console and floor shift to a 69 coronet 727 application. I have 2 different sets of the linkage piece that passes through the floor tunnel. One is curved the other is straight. Which is correct to proceed with or would either work?
I have a 67 Charger, and the calipers and pads used for the kit that was put in by the prior owner, are from a 79 and up Dodge Aspen. I never thought about the spindle effecting wheel alignments. I just wonder if they use a spindle for a 79 Aspen. :BangHead: Now you gave me more **** too...
440, Manual steering, A833, Dana- I’ve used SAE 80-90 in trans, and diff (with limited slip friction), but didn’t have manual steering.
Confirming all three can use same multi-purpose gear oil weight. Service manual indicates yes.
Thanks!
I wouldn't leave it off the whole time.
Just untill it starts flowing and you can make sure the core is covered with water.
Then cap it off because it may boil a couple minutes after you shut it off at atmoshperic pressure.
With the cap on it still may gurgle in there but it won't be a safety...
