    Random picture thread

A few years ago I had to do some emissions testing at Roush Labs in Livonia, MI. There is a Jack Roush Auto Museum close by. If you're into older Fords, or Fords in general, this is a Mecca type place. I'm a Mopar guy, but couldn't resist taking the tour. The one car that jumped out at me...

72 Satellite Gen III Hemi Restomod

Vapor lock will not cause a slow cranking issue. You describe the symptom "as if I have a dead battery". I'm thinking more like a bad starter.

That is 186 MPH. I rode from Shanghai up through Wuxi and when I got back home, I had to tell my then young son, "You know how Kung Fu Panda has the famous Wuxi Finger Hold? Yea, I went through Wuxi!"

    Golden Nuggets of Yore

I will turn 59 next month. This is the first post I have made to both FABO and FBBO (I usually pick one). I have fond memories of the ‘70s through the ‘90s, as I suspect many here share. I find myself going to the FABO and FBBO sites reminiscing those glory days past; not just with the cars...

Is there any truth, is it partially true, or is it all fiction?? Inquiring minds (like mine) want to know.

David Vizard, 100 MPG Carbs, and Me

Years ago I became aware of another MPGMike. The MPG for me is Miles Per Gallon. For the other guy it was MPEG -- as in movie format. He was a **** star. We had a fuel economy site blog at the time. He was absolutely disgusted by me ruining his "good name" on that fuel economy garbage. So...

David Vizard, 100 MPG Carbs, and Me

David Vizard is running a series on the 100 MPG carburetors. His 1st installment caught my attention, so I emailed him. Low and behold, I am now helping him with content for several of his upcoming videos. In installment #2 he spoke highly of me, even showed a copy of my head porting book. I...

Let's post some fun stuff here

In around 1979 my Dad & I were fishing the Juniata River near Duncannon, PA. He walked off to take a pee. His rod took off into the river, probably a large carp. That was I believe March. FF to August, walking in the river fishing and I stepped on something that didn't feel like a stick...

When I was a kid, Hershey's still used real chocolate. Don't blame the new formula on Milton. Side note, Hershey Pennsylvania is very much a theme town. There is Hershey Park, and the Chocolate Tour. Street lights are shaped like Kisses. They literally pump the smell of chocolate into the...

I play while eating dinner. Least moves on single suit is 99. Best time was under 3 minutes. Highest score was 51,200.

    MSD ignition with ballast resistor

Because the capacitive discharge and multi-sparks take a lot of electrical energy, and the ballast resistor restricts it too much. That's my guess.

The then all-new 1999 WJ Grand Cherokee got coil packs and a completely redesigned engine compartment lay-out. TJ (Wrangler) and XJ (Cherokee) kept the distributor until 2001.

    Any Jeep folks here?

In 1996 the power steering pump brackets were changed, as was the belt routing. The water pumps spin in opposite direction from the '95 and older. Other changes, I'm not aware of. I added the '99+ "Horseshoe" manifold to my '95 and had to do some custom stuff to get the water pump spinning...
