My question answered: "The windage tray is not necessary with this pan. It can be used in conjunction with minimal modifications, but is not necessary with the added oil control this pan offers."
They were to blast a high-velocity stream of water and steam at the fire, effectively cutting off the flow of burning oil and extinguishing the flames. Worked ok
The majority of wells we just closed the master valve.
Marketing 101: flowkooler
Flow, more MUST be better right? Not necessarily
Kookier= cooler and that's what old car guys want
So flowkooler must be the ticket for cooling woes!
I never buy those type of hi-flow products for oil, fuel, coolant, etc, and don't have any cooling problems using...
Well, that was quick.
Yes 833 oil change also while I was under there. I put Synchromesh in this time. What a difference. I've always had a little 1-2 clash when cold after rebuilding it years ago. I even put an entire new synchro (newer design) in when I rebuilt it. Haven't road tested it yet...
Yesterday:
I enrolled in the "Jersey Jesus's" online body and paint academy. The D100 is in epoxy.
Today:
Rear differential gear oil change, and 10 points awarded for what the pics show:
Which engine? Whatoil pan? You're probably better off to mock it up, put measured water in it and check the stick until you get to the 5,6,7,8 quarts required.
Once you're happy, dump the water, fill with cheap oil. Check it, adjust as needed, dump it and fill again. A little distilled water in...
Ask Charlies what the oil pan capacity is. Install pan, put quoted oil amount in engine, and adjust dipstick tube length until the "Full" mark matches oil level in pan.
Do what I do. I was given a couple cases of oil when a friend sold his jet boat and didn't need it any more. I'm determined to use it. So I throw in one quart per oil change on the street/strip cars (8qt cap), and the diesel trucks.(10-14qt cap)
Straight 50wt. 20 quarts to use up...... thick...
I’m no Mopar expert but I think the oil dipstick goes into the 440 block right behind the left side motor mount. Mine has a threaded plug in that location. I’ve never seen a threaded hole for the dipstick tube.
What gives?
For oil pumps,
High Volume = taller gear rotors
High Pressure = stronger relief spring
A relief spring doesn't even come into play until you hit the relief pressure. So at 20 PSI it doesn't matter what spring you have, the pump is putting out max pressure/volume regardless. With taller rotors...
Funny how that works they say they are garbage but mine have all outlasted the other brands and I’ve been well satisfied .. My rare dealer services though have been lack luster. I wonder how many $$ flow to various reporting companies to make their product better than others. Look at Ford they...
Some do some dont.. my last 2 318s i tookj apart didn't.. BUT.. what i did was if you look where the plate goes the oil line ends at it with a pipe plug.. i drilled bout a 3/8" hole in the thrust plate and a .060 hole in the pipe plug (hole int he trust plate is so oil can shoot out) so i made...
Matching the ECU, coil resistance and ballast resistance are all important. @HALIFAXHOPS gave me those specs but I'll be darned if I can find my notes. May be he will be gracious enough to repeat them. I could post them in a sticky so we can find them easier.
I've run the drill/tool CCW for about two minutes and don't feel any resistance. How long does it take to feel that. Checked the oil level and that has not gone down either. Just want to get an idea what to expect.
