Don't have to be angry to not like something. Go up to the right side of the reply box and click on the brackets. Hovering will show Toggle BB code.....once you click it, go over to the smiles icon and see if it'll drop down.

I'm almost at wits end with this car.

Sounds like most days at work for me ...fixing up previous guys stupid workmanship. Take a chill pill and small bite-sized pieces of the car problems.....making a list of issues might help. Surely it can't be any worse than this Duster.....

I'm almost at wits end with this car.

Step away once in awhile but just for a short while, like a few days. Letting them sit and deteriorate and never be a useful machine is no good either. And yes, just fix one thing at a time (but fix it right), and carry on to the next item. Hey I'm envious of you having the car and I don't...

66 Belvedere no start condition but everything lit up. Suspected the starter relay and it was. This happened during a hard rain...no mat/carpet in the car. Turned the key on and slammed the floor and it fired up. The relay needed a little vibration to help it make up it's mind. Not the 1st 66 to...

Only reason that doesn't happen is because they can't turn fast enough for things to go bad....the highest rpm that I could muster from my 225 was 4800 and at that rpm, it sounded like it was going to come apart lol.

I thought the seals in my torqueflite were probably shot, after two decades of little use, and I had a small puddle under the car after it sat for any time. Had it on the lift last week after a muffler came loose on the trip to Carlisle. Turned out the outside of the transmission was dry as a...

Very nice. I had to build a guard where the cable comes close to the header on the link heading into the trans but very similar to yours.

I'm almost at wits end with this car.

Lots of great advice here. I’ve been through it, before there was the internet. In my case was extremely fortunate to have my talented dad’s help and wisdom. And the experience gained has helped me since. Taking it a step at a time is a great tip, applies to many other projects and chores. I...
