I had no idea that the value would be so high for that car in the condition it's in. I think my brother bought it for 3500 or 4000 when it was in better shape.

That ( if I'm correct ) makes it a True 1969 R/T Charger with the 440 engine from the factory.
The engine info on the plate near the distributor is labeled as D440 and 710 below that and way off to the right is an "A". So that...
I will have to check the VIN again as I can't find where I wrote it down, but From what you said it sounds as if it has been re-badged. From memory the engine type noted on the VIN was a 383, I can't recall what the starting letters are.
I do recall the engine code being an "L" and for '69 it...
