I agree, and that’s my attitude, but sometimes I just prefer to pay someone else to do it and not be bothered with it. Something about older and wiser. Kinda like cutting grass. Some people enjoy it and do it religiously. Me on the other hand, I could do it, but prefer not to spend my time...

    Fan belt rant

This comes up periodically, and shamefully it is a thing of the past. Another two cents i will throw it tho......being in the HVAC biz i will say...you cant see when your iron is worn easily, but it does indeed wear. At some point the pulleys definately share some blame in slippage and...

Roll back is a tow truck, got any friends in the towing business? After broken down most parts are able to be moved by hand, the decks are kinda heavy & awkward, I use a furniture dolly & a breakdown engine hoist... As I've said before, if you are willing you'll find a way, if you surrender...

No, not to me either. Honestly, the only reason ive ever found one to be "bad" is incredibly rough handling by others, stripped pulley bolts or extreme wear one the seal ring area. I've seen some very cracked rubber rings that would make me pass and grab a different one tho.

That would be if the carrier sends a rollback. A lift gate truck would work too. But I would be at the mercy of Home Depot scheduling the right truck for delivery which I doubt they would take responsibility for. And, once unloaded and broken down can the individual steel pieces be moved...

In the fine print for that lift it says you can use a rollback truck for unloading. Never thought about that, but that would probably work okay.

I’m thinking that is likely what happened. Long ago…. Stephens is great. I’m confident my case is fine now though, thoroughly inspected and cleaned.
