    Mecum Sold?

I was trying to figure out exactly what transpired here. Guys car sold, at least the auctioneer put the hammer down and appeared to say sold. Yet they took more bids afterwards? If it was his car, then he got more or what, I’m missing some context here. Mecum is in my area, and I’ve been to...

    Slips out of 1st

First off, I am not a manual transmission expert, so this is more of a question than a statement: Synchronizers help you get a transmission into a gear - my understanding is they do nothing once it is in a gear. I've heard that if a manual transmission pops out of gear, it could be linkage...

This bogging has to be fuel, right?

I always draw a line across the outer ring to the hub center with a Sharpe. If the outer ring slips, it's would be pretty easy to check.

68 Charger Alternator not charging system possible solution?

My engine was not running. This happened 2 or three years ago, but I somehow reversed + and - when testing with jumpers to a battery. All new wiring harnesses and it popped the fusible link. I am not an electrical guy, so if you say something else caused it, maybe so.

68 Charger Alternator not charging system possible solution?

A couple other possibilities here for a no charge condition: 1. The alternator was a single field wire connection and he installed a dual field style ( ungrounded). We've heard this before here on the forum. 2. The regulator was not working and his original alternator was functional. 3. No...

WTB 1970 Coronet R/T Light Gold Poly Y4

You will need to know someone to look up a plate or VIN for you. Wa state will not do it for the public at the DMV office, privacy stuff. Also if it has not been tabbed in 7 years they drop it from the system and they claim they have no record of it. This includes collector plates or year...

How old were you when you bought your first house?

MIGHT BE BORING! Bought our first house October of 1971. 912 square feet. 14,500.00. Interest rate was 5% I think. My salary didn’t meet the requirements for government approved loan. We did get the loan through a bank as long as we agreed to rent out the basement suite.g It had a...

WTB 1970 Dodge Charger front bumper to hood filler panel and seal

As the title, I'm near the end of the restoration on my 1970 Charger and after fitting the front bumper I realise that I am missing the front bumper filler panel that closes up the gap between the front edge of the hood and the front bumper chrome. I realise the steel panel isn't reproduced so...

What makes a Mopar engine special or different?

Big block Mopar have superior engineering vs. brand X during the musclecar era, IMHO things that set Mopars apart: Dry intake manifold Shaft rockers External oil pump Deep block webbing that extends past the crank centerline Flat pan rail Webbing around lifter bores Simple water pump...
