Lower Control Arm Variations: Different Manufacturers or Body Style Differences?

Do I miss something? I am asking if different pairs of LCAs existing. The two I am showing have different plates installed and I wonder if there were two manufacturers or something. This thread isn’t about to ask how to reinforce these LCAs.

Oil pressure gauge goes to zero

^^^ Listen to these gentlemen! Until you know IF you have an oil pressure problem, you really don't want to run the engine assuming you are OK. Like @Dave6T4 (referenced below), I use my stock gauge in the dash so my car looks factory but plumbed a mechanical gauge that sits on the back of my...

    906 heads on a 413

Hey guys, was putting on the edelbrock intake and of course the holes in the intake weren’t lining up with the head on one side when you have the other side started. Couple questions. I pulled the valve cover to check the casting number and change the gaskets. Casting number appears to be...

    Big block oil change

Sometimes using a longer or shorter P/S belt will move its trajectory away from the filter. The Wix 51515 is the most common filter, but not the only one, as has been said.

    Take You Pick...

Damn!!! I didn't realise I would be opening up such a can of worms just by posting this up for a read. Other than a few here that accepted it for what it is, others are hell bent on the negativity, rather than cars from back in the day came in all kinds of boxes and designs, and regardless of...

Agree on multipe points above. ...and I'll add that 1969 is considered by many as the most desirable year, and therefore more difficult to find in your case.

    Fender Tag Replacement

Not to nit pick, but that is technically not true. Torque boxes? ...and some times VIN swappers miss this. I've seen 2 door Mopars with "41" VIN tags, and more than a few 23 body cars with 21 VIN tags and vice versa.

    1970 Charger Vinyl top

It just so happens I ran across this video yesterday. Some skill and (probably) lots of patience required. I'll do my car if I can get a car buddy in Savannah to help me out...it looks like a 2 man job to me.

I'm getting close to switching to a roller cam in the big block!

Kern: Checking installed height gives you the ability to measure what your closed pressure is. From there you can measure open pressure based on your cam and verify it is what you need. But an important measurement is also to measure from the bottom of the retainer to the valve guide oil seal...

    Fender Tag Replacement

Yes, replacing vin tags with reproduction. Now the body swap police will be in here lecturing on how that is different from replacing every piece of sheetmetal on a car. Remember, these were vin swapped on the assembly line if you look at it that way. They all had the same sheetmetal until the...
