Even my 41 Ford tractor has electronic ignition.
I have Pertronix in the tractor, and my camper van.
Often we are a long way from anywhere. Tuktoyaktuk for instance. If the points fail, who am I gonna call?
In the US you guys are not far from an auto store, but still, I would go electronic.
I...
Never heard them called skins before. They are seat covers I assume. The bit you sit on is the cushion, and the back is the squab. I am not familiar with the fit of modern covers. I hope they are better than the crap we used many years ago.
The round part protruding at the seams is the piping...
I just recycled my old timing light, and bought a new one. So sorry, you are too late. But I do like the new unit, that has a clip to go over the plug wyre. Test yours, it may be like mine and not work.
The camp host at Kissinger Lake BC, had a 76 camper van. 360 and I assume 727 and Dana 60. It did not have all the camping features we have. But I advised him to keep it.
I know nothing about the subject matter here.
However, I do know a bit about the motorcycles of the late sixties and early seventies.
These days I can watch videos of these early bikes. An example would be the Kawasaki 750 2 stroke, or the Yamaha road race bikes 250, 350 and 700 and 750.
And I...
I use a 2 x 4 on each of the front wheels to check alignment.
One front wheel seems to be 5/8 further aft than the other, so will be taking many measurements this off season.
As an aside. Most boat trailers have one wheel further aft than the other. They slide about on the two frame rails.
I have an ignition module, a ceramic thing, and a two barrel carb for a 318. All new within the last three years.
Free, if you need them. Just pay for shipping, and I have no idea how much that is. Might be more than the value of the pieces. I put on these pieces, and later used more modern...
I would start by looking for fuel and spark.
I have a 77 B200 camper van. First I removed the fuel pump and drained the old gas. Used a shop vac, hose in the gas filler, piece of rag around the end so some air escaped. Fuel came out the other end. Put on a new fuel pump. Took tne carb apart and...
My camper van does not have springs in the hoses. In fact I have never owned a vehicle with springs in the hoses.
Chrysler does run more pressure in the cooling system than others of that vintage.
We weigh 6800 pounds and climb hills with no cooling problems. Cheaper stainless steel will be...
Start with the fuel line from the tank. Check for fuel at all points to the injector fuel pump. Bleed the lines to the injectors.
Possibly in order. Tank, fuel line, large fuel filter, primary fuel pump, small fuel filter, injector pump, lines to injectors.
There might also be injectors that...
I should mention, none of my original gauges work, even after spending much $$. So my volts, oil pressure, temperature and fuel, are all separate gauges. This is a problem with staying stock. Too, my gas gauge is in the back of the camper van, nearer the tank.
Belts.
The water pump on my boat motor is about one eight out of alignment. No problems.
The alternator belt on my boat slips. New Chinese.
A used US made belt fixed the problem.
The alternator belt on my 318 slips when the revs are increased quickly. Probably Chinese made junk. Or I can run the...
Very funny.
RR and Bentley also use left hand threads on the
left hand wheels, and they are made of bronze, or something like that. Maybe someone knows when they stopped using left hand wheel nuts.
A10 is a 650 BSA. A7 is a 500. A7 is also a 350 Kawasaki.
Which brings me too “ We are the authority for Kawasaki batteries “ And they list a few 12 volt options. But my KE100 uses a 6 volt battery, and that is what I typed in for model.
Motorcycles can have the same problem. Mostly the brass floats that leak, or the O rings that leak.
OBMs, outboard motors, also bend the float adjustment part, on bumpy roads.
i bolted on the 600 Edelbrock, manual choke. It is quite smooth in operation and works well. Might be a bit lean at idle. I had heard some other brands were a bit easier to alter jets, but I like this carb. Did not check anything, or change anything. I used the adaptor, but still needed to make...
