Mopar racers big race of the year at Norwalk

Not this year I'm just cruising around. I'll be camping along the fence row north of the trees on the spectator side. Gus

Mopar racers big race of the year at Norwalk

Always the best Mopar race of the season. I really enjoy the hour drive through the countryside and farm roads. Some of the coolest early B-bodies on the planet will be there. I'll be cruising the pits in my Savoy to see old friends. See you guys there. Gus

    RV2 reman or Sanden conversion

Update ! got the car in on Saturday and all that is leaking is the gasket on discharge port of the compressor. Now I just need to order the gasket. Seen a few on the net, some steel and some composite. Any preference on what gasket to use?

    RV2 reman or Sanden conversion

I installed a new under dash unit in this car about 10 years ago and it's been cold until this very hot summer. I replaced the condenser, drier ,and flushed the system when I put the R134 in it.

    RV2 reman or Sanden conversion

Don't know yet this is just something one of his buddies told him. He's bringing it by the shop this weekend so I can give it a proper diagnosis.

    RV2 reman or Sanden conversion

Got a customer with a leaking RV2 compressor and he was asking me if it would be better off in the long run to do the Sanden conversion. He is not concerned about originality he just wants cold air that will last past the next generation with his grandchildren. Car is a 67 Chrysler 300 rag, 440...

Running two alternators on same car?

The Denso unit on my Savoy is only 80 amps and it works great. As posted above the Lexus unit is compact so it fits in a very tight engine bay. 130 amps would be more than adequate. Make sure you get a genuine Denso reman or new $300-$500 not cheap but will last hundreds of thousands of miles.

    Torque converter ID help

The car is a 66 Charger with a 396 stroker Poly head engine that runs surprisingly strong. It doesn't have a mid plate in it. Somebody put a lot of money into the engine and transmission with custom pistons and a decent grind cam and an old Weiand intake.

    Torque converter ID help

He wanted me to try and see if there was any interest in somebody to buy it. Problem is it is for an early transmission 62-66 small input shaft 19 spline unit. I drove the car and it's a good converter but it has a very limited market.

    Torque converter ID help

I did a transmission for a friend and he wanted the less drag race converter installed. The converter he had in the car stalled around 3800-4000 and wasn't very street cruiser friendly. I'm pretty sure it's a custom built unit.
