whats the casting number for caliper brackets ?

The number for the pin type caliper brackets for the 11.75" rotors is 0965 4101. There may be other number variations. This is the number on all four of my vehicles that have these, three of which are as originally equipped. The other I added to my Challenger. The same bracket is used on either...

2806178 Intake Manifold Replacement - What Date Code do I need?

The more I read the more convinced I am that this is an installation problem. And nobody needs a spare OEM Cast Iron Intake Manifold "on the shelf". You're just throwing your money away. If time is really of the essence then buy an Edelbrock Performer intake and whack it on there while you...

    Carb for a street/strip stroked 440

I agree....if it's going to be on the street, your carb is too big and so is the cam unless you plan on being a total street hell raiser......

    New carburetor prices are high.

It's just way easier to limit it to 1/8 mile. Many racers use the same car and set up they just don't have to rpm it on the top end to finish the quarter mile. Also, like at our drag strip, the timing equipment is already set up for both 1/4 and 1/8th.

    New carburetor prices are high.

Post 53 from Cranky. One quarter has been the traditional distance. Maybe they should consider some rule changes to slow down the fastest. Other outfits do this. Nascar with pushrods and restrictor plates. MotoGP, bikes, are going to 800cc for the fastest class. They already restricted...

Does a rebuilt engine run warm until the break in is finished?

hits -38c 2-3 times a year here. I had been led to believe 50/50 was good to -45c?

    Roadrunner w/440 Stalled

I spent some time replacing the ballast resistor because it seemed as soon as I let off the key, it would die. Replaced resistor and no coconuts. Then disconnected and reconnected the firewall harness plug connectors and it fired right up. Attempted several times and success! As I...
