The drip rails are one part of the classic styling cues that new cars don’t have.
I don’t intentionally drive my car in the rain so the drip rails on mine are just along for the ride.
I was sort of teasing about the eyebrow comments but I do think the cars don’t look as good with them...
Eliminating them along with a few other things may improve the aero enough to cut down on wind noise that we get with these cars. Stuff like wiper arms out there catching and disturbing the air, side view mirrors, rain gutters, wheels and tires recessed in the fenders instead of sitting out...
You could wedge in a piece of plastic if it worries you.
I have a similar condition with 2 of my cars. I've been concerned too but with the cable secure, it has been fine. I also have my cable coming in from the other side from the firewall forward.
I had a minor meltdown then replaced my fuse panel with one that had one additional fuse in it. From 6 to 7 fuses.
I later added an additional fuse panel that is powered through the starter relay with a relay in between.

I looked… the fan in my 2007 Dodge truck is a 5 blade. I have seen Cummins and 5.2-5.9 trucks with huge fans with more than 8 blades. There must be some science behind that to warrant the design.
