Caught 2 more early last night & rest the traps. 8 in total now. Those "Jaws" traps work much better than snap traps. A couple mice that we caught were eaten & one trap was MIA in the morning. The critter took the mouse away that was stuck in the trap.

A833 4 speed second gear trouble

Thank you, I will do just that. This shifter seems to be a universal shifter. I purchased it from an older Mopar buddy of mine. When I go to adjust the linkage with the Allen wrench my rods do not reach my linkage. I have had to connect them normally and make adjustments to shift into each gear...

Blown Head gasket or more? 440 70 Superbee

I'd like to see cam lobes...was this built during the rash of poorly hardened cores? Or mirror flat lifters?

My rear end has a heartbeat

Not far from me...however putting on jack-stands will help narrow down the search. If you get an assistant to rev the car up and down gently, you should be able to trace the noise. Just please make sure that the car is stable on the stands. I know a guy who was dragged under his Mark 3...

A833 4 speed second gear trouble

Suggestion.....Standard Hurst shifter adjustment. 1. Remove rods from trans and shifter 2. Find an allen wrench to snugly fit into the shifter adjustment slot/hole at the top of the mechanism. 3. Verify all shifter "fingers" are aligned, and not out of round. Install rods on shifter. 4. Move...

    Power valve

Power valve is just the timing related to engine vacuum of when the carb adds extra enrichment. The amount of fuel added when the power valve opens depends on the size of the holes behind the power valve. If someone enlarged the holes it could go rich when the power valve opens. The...

    Ten Rules for Maximum Cooling

When you buy corrosion inhibitor concentrate, it is usually recommended to use de-mineralised water with it....not distilled water. I guess the DM water has had the minerals removed that might cause corrosion or interfere with the corrosion inhibitor chemistry..

Making the HEI conversion SUPER simple!

Yes, those coils will work.....but.......if they were designed to be used with a bal res, then the bal res should be used. For the purposes of just generating a spark, elec ign whether it is Chrys, Pert, HEI or some other......it should just be viewed as an electronic switch that replaces the...

My brake lights aren’t bright enough

I could rig up an adjustable tubular bar clamp set to expand rather than to compress....but I think that a single purpose tool like that would rarely get used. A 2 x 4 cut to size makes more sense to me since I always have sections of lumber around here.

My brake lights aren’t bright enough

I use a good size prybar locked between the seat and pedal for brake light checks

    69 Charger on the autocross

A buddy of mine races a couple of B body Mopars in the 24 hours of LEMONS events and told me yesterday that they go through a 727 every TWO races! How is it that a drag racer can shock the heck out of theirs over and over and it holds together while an endurance race like LEMONS wears them out...

True, there would be a tracking number at least.

Rubber glove hack you're going to love.

I have this memory of using MEK as a cleaning solvent and having the rubber gloves I was wearing just shred and fall apart. It is weird because the MEK didn't do a good job of cleaning but sure ate the heck out of the gloves.

Almost afraid to share another ammeter bypass question...

I'd add that IF your electrical demands are not increased by adding electric fans, a bunch of lights, a powerful stereo or a series of ah-ooooo-gah! horns, the alternator and wiring may be safe as it is. Ehrenberg has often mentioned the very same thing. I bypassed 3 cars now but 2 of them had...
