I like the “buy a new bare head” plan(as long as the head to be reused is still close to 78cc’s).
Pair that with the 27cc piston out of the hole .012” and a cometic .051” gasket.
(I get 9.93cr for the above combo)
Cool car! It is unfortunate that the 72 cars don't seem to get the love that the 71 cars do. The 72 cars are the last examples of real muscle car Mopars where options like Dana 60 rear axles and air grabber hoods were still available. All that was gone by the 73 model year.
I was going to ask if you have the 6 bushings, steel ones are best, plus the correct retainer clips installed?

If it's a real 440 Charger it is semi-rare, but still not bringing in big bucks. If it does run/drive ok, maybe $7-10k depending on closer inspection and various factors. If he spent a day cleaning it up and throwing a carpet in it... more.
I am trying to get ahold of him thru e mail, but have not heard back from him.
Not really a Mopar guy, have a Ram Truck though.
IH Scout guy trying to get rid of these thermoquad carbs instead of just throwing them away. I know Mopars had these carbs and when tuned tuned they run great.
My question here, trying to make the CM 3/4" joints last for low use street applications in all So Florida conditions (wet). Safety is important, they ain't cheap, and I'm lazy. One factor to keep in mind, the upper 3rd link will never be easy to access becuase of location.
BTW, I have little...
You could BIN this U code car that supposedly has a 340 for 25K.
Has PW and AC and looks pretty sharp.
Also has a bulge hood.
