Getting rid of all the slop basically boils down to replacing every connection with a hiem joint. The z-bar pivots are usually ok as they are.
The problem with keeping the over center spring on a diaphram clutch is at high rpm the clutch may not engage. The pressure from the spring and the...
Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. I set it up so the hydraulics were under the front of the car. I had the front arms extended as far forward as they'd go. I had the rear end (a nice heavy Dana) installed so there'd be as much weight as possible at the rear. The rear of the car was...
These things are not meant to be mobile. Occasional maneuvering - sure, but that's about it. If you do have to move it, raise it up a bit first - for some reason its a "little" easier to move.
MD6XP ... yes, I used one under my '69 RR. I was very useful to strip the car and do some mods as well as to do the full reassembly this past year. HOWEVER, they aren't the handiest thing now that the car is finished. Access to the middle underside is very restrictive. In my case the car sits...

FWIW the pistons on my 526 are .016 out of the hole - they should...
Just keep scouring swapmeets BUT in MANY years of many swapmeets I haven't seen many decent pieces. In my opinion they seem to get damaged more by the guys taking them off and hauling them around than they would just left on the cars.
Just order a set from Dr. Diff.

I'm not sure there are casting numbers on them. Usually you just eyeball them to match the photo in post #2. They've gotten pretty scarce so you'd be extremely...
The fork moves forward because you haven't taken the slop out with the adjustment rod ! Turn the nut on the rod till the throwout just contacts the diaphram then back it off so you have about 1/8 of slop at the pivot end of the fork - which will give about the same at the diaphram.
And you...
