I only have experience with Eaton. One in a Belvedere behind a 318 and the other in a GTX behind a 440. Never an issue with either of them, no noise, no whine, just two nice strips of rubber when I mash the go pedal. 9 years on the GTX and 11 years on the Belvedere.
Mine was noisy at slow speed turns. Found many You Tube videos with the same complaint.
Fix was changing out lube from 75/90 to 140. Worked for me. Mine was new about 15 years ago. Maybe now they have improved.
If I was buying new I'd go with Dr Diff. My 2 cents.
