    So I identified a transmission to build #4028412 is a 77 for 400 hp . I also unbolted it and put it on the bench, found some tools to work with, that were my dad's, I'm sure he has more once I locate them.

    Suggest that you review the fan laws......remember, that the temperature of the air being moved will affect its density......hot air requires less hp to move a given volume (ie, pounds of air/CFM/degree F)...in addition to RPM of the fan. This applies to ALL fan types.....propeller...

    It still most likely had a shroud. Just a/c cars all seemed to have them.

    HI NO AC. So no shroud then.. As for timing. Not sure? I'll put an light on it tomorrow . When I installed the cam I timed it by vacuum .. got max vacuum and backed it off 2 ".. It runs real strong no missing or pinging at WOT to shift point. its running about 16"vacuum.

    Uhhh, just use a single filament bulb of the same wattage as the low filament on an 1157 and you accomplish the same thing without touching the wiring.
