Are you are taking about the pattern on the valve being towards the exhaust side? If so either the rocker is too long (likely) or the pedestal where the shaft is mounted isn’t spot on for the lift at the valve. or are you talking pushrod clearance in the head That may need clearancing which is...

Either is fine, the longer bolt might help getting things lined up, but since you had no issue getting the shorter bolts started I'd stick with them...
The rule is a 3/8" bolt needs 3/8" of thread engagement... It should have that and more...

But to answer your question, not yet. Need to get the old one and pump out tomorrow before I drop out the K and put my 70 unit in. From there, reassembly time. Hope to get it to the alignment shop next week.
It's easy to miss. I don't remember taking it out when I tore the engine down. Maybe the machine shop took it out. I hope you didn't do too much damage with the lost oil pressure. :praying:
Also, how long are the fuel pump bolts supposed to be? The Edelbrock bolts that came with it are about 1.4" long and the ones that I took out are about 1" long. I went ahead and reused the ones that I took out because I was worried that the other ones might go in too deep. I could definitely...
I did get the block hot tanked so they pulled all the plugs. I'm going with new aluminum 'stealth' heads from 440 Source. Plus a .488/.491 cam from Comp Cams. Topped off with a Edelbrock intake and 750 cfm carb. I thinking 400+ hp!
