Correct - my front tire combo has never rubbed at all - see previous post.
I have 275/60R15 on the same 8" rims on the back. Almost never any rubbing on those, with an exception being when I had four passengers and a trunk full of luggage for a cross country trip. Then a really hard bump that...
yeah.. et streets are known to be bad, i have never seen this much weight on a tire.. it's like 1#... When i got the tires a friend did me a "Favor" and had a local speedshop mount them.. they put stick on weights half way around the inside of the rim... which makes no sense... and also fell...
That sounds better. Just think, 1 oz. out of balance exerts a force of 8# on the heavy side of the tire. Oftentimes, breaking it down and spinning it 180° and rebalancing can help. I used to spin just the wheels up to see how bad they were. Often times 2+ oz. out of balance all by themselves.
Got the tires balanced and my god... it's like 5" of weights on both sides of the rims in the same spot.. just insane.. shoulda took a pic... Hoping that fixes it... If not.. next will be the driveshaft.. Had the shaft made at a local place that's supposed to be really good.. for $600 i hope...
I had a 69 satellite convertible with white interior. There is a difference in the shade on the painted metal and the vinyl seat shade. I can’t remember if the plastic rear panels were the same as the painted metal but I think they were.
I glossed over the part about the headliner, I would definitely do that 1st. As mentioned above, that sounds like the most efficient order of operations based on previous experience with other makes and models.
I don't think the new pertronix was the source of your coil failure. Leaving the ignition on without running the engine likely was, or perhaps just age.
Both points or electronic replacement units simply pulse the negative side of the coil to negative battery. ( Complete the circuit)
And yes...
I don’t know a lot about 68 and newer but usually the interior metal paint color is shown on the trim tag on earlier years 66/67. I believe (not sure if necessarily always true) that except for dash and steering columns, the interior metal paint colors were the same offerings/codes used for...
One thing I noticed on the resister is that turning the ignition on w/o starting the engine it gradually heated up. If I have to bypass it would you be able to explain how you did that on your Charger? Two wires are coming into the resister. I can look at the wiring diagram to determine where...
Picked up a new Battery Tray for the Charger!
It didn't have one in the past, just some old jury rigged piece of rusty sheet metal that was sorta welded on there.
