    WTB 426 hemi mega block

I know a guy in Orange County with a second gen. 426 (1964-1971) block he may be willing to sell. I'm pretty sure it's a pre-street Hemi 1964 block. It's a long block, valve covers to oil pan, but no intake or carbs. While fair, he won't be taking low-ball offers (under 5 figures). I'll...

    Can this get worse ?

are you sure that cover is aluminum? I kind of looks like cast iron, to me. but to answer your question, expect failing freeze plugs. if the car was stored wet, and there is the damage we see to the water pump housing, if that was caused by the wet, expect one or more freeze plugs to fail...

Classic Cars and Cell Phones Don't Mix Well

I've been with Hagerty for years. Only had 1 claim with them for damage to my old 928 Porsche. It was hit in a parking lot pretty good shot in the passenger door and front fender. No way to know who/what hit it. There was a shop at the time that specialized in Euro cars ( and not cheap...

    Can this get worse ?

Two weeks ago I finished welding new floorboards in the Coronet . I thought I was finished after undercoating , installing a layer of sound proofing and new carpet . When I started up the car to drive it down off the ramps , the throttle cable snapped . I made a throttle cable from an old...

    Cut drip rails off

Though I will say. I’m painting the drips and I may never put the chrome trim back on. I like the look of cars without the trim but I’m not much of a chrome guy either. Thinking the bumpers are getting painted too.

    Bendpak MD6XP lift….anyone use one under a B body?

Really? The point of the hoist is to be able to safely access things under the car, instead of using jackstands, especially when wheels need to be off, no different than a two post.

Serpentine belts on a BB Mopar

The hub of the clutch has to register on the water pump shaft.

    Cut drip rails off

I’m not so much considering it for aerodynamics, I’m considering it for appearance. As of now, looks ugly in my book but wanted to keep an open mind.

    Cut drip rails off

Well, I am not bald and don't have red hair, and I like aero. I was hoping this thread would go a bit deeper than cosmetics.:( And wind noise is turbulent air flow, ie bad.
