Still have mine from my 273 build. Also a big micrometer set for cranks. A 8" long digital caliper for pushrods. Cherry picker and geared head engine stand. Valve spring compressor. Porting kit (I think) and the list goes on and on.

A little play here, a little play there and the gap between the throw out bearing and pressure plate fingers all ads up to the free play at the top of the pedal stroke. Ever wonder why some holes in the ends of the rods are oval shaped? All that play ads up.

That sounds better. Just think, 1 oz. out of balance exerts a force of 8# on the heavy side of the tire. Oftentimes, breaking it down and spinning it 180° and rebalancing can help. I used to spin just the wheels up to see how bad they were. Often times 2+ oz. out of balance all by themselves.

I was wondering if you found a different power source. More current through the bulkhead on these old cars is electrical suicide.

Clean it good with a wire brush and solder it. Get some good solder for plumbing. Use flux.
