Yeah, some days are like that. Time to take a break and go do something fun, or at least not involving your car for a few hours. We all have had things go wrong and they are what makes us better mechanics. For instance, I'll bet if you ever have to do that job again, the first thing you're going...
If you watch the video, he's trying. 10* timing, pedaling it out of the box, trying all the usual fixes.
It's not like it's changing lanes - it's simply hooking too well. He's actually got the BEST problem - he's putting TOO MUCH power to the ground! About the only fix is gonna be wheelie bars.
I’m not hating on the guy.
When I was having handling issues with my 12 second 4 speed car I felt it was irresponsible to drive it like that.
The guy in the other lane doesn’t want wiped out. Spectators don’t want run over.
It’s a wild car I get it. But at some point you have to get it...
I have a rough plate holder with a good spring. I could pull the spring and pin for you. Zero rust.
I also have a clean licence plate bulb assembly with nice factory screws, because yours looks like it needs to be replaced.
No lens though.
$40 shipped, for both. (Light and spring, no plate...

I still have the destruction sheet for the gauge but it wasn't helping lol
I still have 99% of my machinist tools too including my mill and lathe. Thought I had someone interested in them and sent pics etc but haven't heard anything back in a week. Oh, I have a 12" dial indicator that came in...
We gave my son a 3d printer for his birthday, and while he is in school I get to print things on it. It is fast and simple to use! He is making spinners and spinner cubes and like things.
So far, I've made a tic-tac gun, a wall holder for my Milwaukee drills, and the fuse box cover for a '78...
Man, a lot of hate in here for a man furthering interest in cars and actually out doing something. I pulled all 4 wheels off the ground in 08, did I not know what I was doing? No, I was operating within the rules of the class which specified no slipper clutches, no contraptions that slip the...
Download the directions from the MSD page at Holley. That was the first Multiple Spark Discharge unit if I remember correctly. Whatever you do be mindful that the unit will knock you on your arse if you get too close to the coil or coil wire while cranking. Also, you should have a good set of...
All, on the reaction shaft there are what looks like ball bearings (see pic). Are those supposed to move or spin at all (they don't currently).
Also on the pump there is a tiny indent (2nd pic). Anything to worry about - might have been there since it was made.
Thanks
