Mopar Diamond Like Coating / Lifters !!

I saw those last year at SEMA. Reminded me of the Shubeck units that were around many years ago. Great idea. Wonder how well they last against their cams.

5 blade to a 7 blade well it help

The 5 blade versus 7 does have me curious. I have used both and did not have overheating with either. Basic bonehead sense leads me to think that more blades means it will pull more air through the radiator. Once the vehicle is moving, I don’t see the greater fin count being a problem. This...

Tools that you don't use very often and didn't use them a whole lot to begin with....and had to 'relearn' it....

One of the items on my want list is a stomp shear. I have access to one about 20 minutes away, so that helps. Just sometimes I like a nice, long, straight cut or cuts to start with. But yeah, one big heavy unit! I have an electric Makita unit that works well for other areas. Soon I'll be putting...

Mopar Diamond Like Coating / Lifters !!

I wonder how many people will have the wait and see opinion? It is funny to me to state this but besides a high failure rate, flat tappet lifters have advantages over roller lifters. Yeah, besides heart failure and psychosis, methamphetamine has some benefits too. I would have stayed with a...

Tools that you don't use very often and didn't use them a whole lot to begin with....and had to 'relearn' it....

Oh man, I'm already missing my 48" finger brake! Wanted to fill my shop with metal tools but there was always someone in my life demanding my time or $$$$. I sold my brake about a year ago after owning it for 20+ years and am fixing to sell the shear and other shop tools. It'll be local since...

My daily driver 67 Coronet wagon

Got some more tasks done today. I pulled the steering column back some to facilitate getting the steering box out. It still was being a pain, so I put two bolts back in it and got it out with the K-frame. I supported the rails about where the front of the doors are with some cribbing after I...

    Can this get worse ?

I think a lot of us that actually do hands on stuff encounter stuff like this. I picture the days in construction where I’ve hit my fingers with a hammer, then end up bumping my fingers on everything causing shooting pains to the core. Your hands get greasy, then your face itches. You torque...

Serpentine belts on a BB Mopar

They make spacers with the nub on the end. But if that won’t work, you can try electric fans.

5 blade to a 7 blade well it help

HI, Just did some high traffic with lots of stops and it's boiling in the radiator. gauge went up to like 3/4 of the way.. 185* stat. Maybe I should bite the bullet and get a bigger radiator .. tho I didn't ever have that problem before the cam change? Once it cools down I'm going to check the...

    Front sump pan,440

The 440-7 looks strongly like 440 to me, and not 400, another indicator you've got a 1973 440. The -7 refers to the 7th version of the 440 casting, which makes sense for a "later model" 440. It's hard to say WHY the dipstick tube has a 2nd bend to it, but it's most likely man made. The 1970...

Making 'crazy' power isn't all that easy....but with lots of money, it's not so hard. What you do with it is the key.

Tools that you don't use very often and didn't use them a whole lot to begin with....and had to 'relearn' it....

My metal forming equipment. Took the classes, bought the equipment, used them a little, moved, 10 years later had to relearn. Thats why I started on my floors. If they weren't perfect, no biggie as they won't get seen once they're covered. Those areas helped me get familiar with the units again...
