I did this very thing and refused to post "Believed to be" gear ratio as once read, it's typically law and then I'm reported or called out for false info. No thanks. I posted a pic of all the stamps on ring gear. No teeth count or I'd have posted it.
Does your truck Dana 60 that you custom fitted to your car not have a factory provision for a pinion snubber? Well, here at F&P Performance we say "NO EFFING PROBLEM!"
That's the dummest thing I've ever seen. Why the hell wouldn't Chrysler make a different filler neck that stuck out further and seal directly to the flip cap? That seal is a hack job at best, even factory. Amazes me how many will put up with things like this, but if done outside of factory, it's...
Well, got the pedal assy. Installed. Hadda drill a couple holes and modify one brace rod, but it's in!
Also got trunk floor installed for converting to 68-70 Charger fuel tank(narrower than 66/7, and allows for 3" tail pipes when mini tubbed) or at least that's the theory.
As soon as this is completely welded up. 3.73, Locker unit, 35 spline, 2" narrower each side for total of 4" narrow. With a 512 C.I. stroker and 4 speed, I'll need all the traction.
When I put inner wheel wells in, I hammered that area back.out almost flush with quarter panel so I should be good there. Also, a 60 series is taller than a 50. Mine is 295/50/15" much shorter than that 315/60/15"
As you can see, this is alotta work. However, you can also see there's AT LEAST 14" of tire clearance. 15.5" wall to wall. If you trimmed the inner wheel wells lip back, you might even see 15" with 1/2" clearance each side. Definitely worth the work.
I didn't like the way this kit from UScartool did the rear shackle mount. Set up the way directions go, it raises your car about 2" in rear. I notched rear frame rails and simply remade it to fit in factory location. Is it correct? Is it nice as buying the weld-in parts? Nope, but does it work? Yes.
Looking for 68-70 Auto pedal cage complete with all brackets, braces and hardware. All i have in my car is the spot welded brackets on lower cowl and windshield areas. Nothing else. I have the 4 speed pedals and related hardware to convert an auto assy. Just don't need to spend huge coin on 4...
