it's a common swap... it's very cheap to do.. you get a reliable suspension/brakes/engine/trans... EFI.. heat/AC... i personally hate it.. but seeing why people do it isn't hard...

    Cut drip rails off

GM decided to give it a try on the 70 Camaro/Firebird. I remember on my old Trans Am getting a dousing every time I opened the door after washing the car or a rain shower.

The rear tail light assemblies are are basically 3 parts - lenses, lense bezels and the main bezel. Lenses appear to be ok, but I need to remove for inspection before I'm certain. For sure I'll need the main bezels and a few lens bezels.

That's good news about a decent appraiser. You have an ad placed and that's good. Hopefully someone can come up with some lights for you. I haven't had mine apart so I'm not familiar with the pieces involved. (I just answered my own question by looking at my photos) Are your lenses ok? It looks...

Tools that you don't use very often and didn't use them a whole lot to begin with....and had to 'relearn' it....

My problem is forgetting either that that I have a certain tool or where I put it because they rarely get used. One of my summer projects was to reorganize the shop to rectify that but I was to busy. Oh well may this winter

I get your point. After all that’s what racing is about. And like I said, I’m not jealous at all about him having a blown hemi and I have a boat anchor.

Classic Cars and Cell Phones Don't Mix Well

I got hit in the rear of my CJ-5 on the LH corner. It is an original 77 golden eagle insured by Hagerty. Them claim went very well with no issues. The body shop called them when they found additional damage and they did not hesitate to make it right. Very pleased.

I’m gonna leave it alone. I know it has 9 sec 140mph 1/4 mile potential, but with as rare as it is I’m not going to mess with it.

Classic Cars and Cell Phones Don't Mix Well

Met with the appraiser yesterday. Meeting went well. He has 31 years experience and has dealt with classic cars a lot. I'm thinking this claim is going in the right direction and although it's still early in the process, I've got good vibes about it. We'll see, however, how this plays out in the...
