    That is clean looking. The wife likes to see some bling so I am thinking something like the Edelbrock one but I wanted to ask because I was worried about possible clearance issues. I also see that it looks like you changed out your coolant fitting on the manifold.

    I have run that combo on many small blocks. Like anything it all depends on your budget. Edelbrock gaskets are good same as Felpro. Use the thick Edelbrock base gasket. Studs are a good Idea. The intake is a spread bore so watch that you center the base gasket for no vacuum leaks. If it fits...

    Tools that you don't use very often and didn't use them a whole lot to begin with....and had to 'relearn' it....

    I use a $99 MSC china version of that for rough checking as the dial has a 0.005" resolution. I select the indicator point that gets you close, then select the point washer to get the desired dimension to be indicated at an appropriate place on the dial (usually around 12 o'clock) and fine...
