    I have run that combo on many small blocks. Like anything it all depends on your budget. Edelbrock gaskets are good same as Felpro. Use the thick Edelbrock base gasket. Studs are a good Idea. The intake is a spread bore so watch that you center the base gasket for no vacuum leaks. If it fits...

    I use a $99 MSC china version of that for rough checking as the dial has a 0.005" resolution. I select the indicator point that gets you close, then select the point washer to get the desired dimension to be indicated at an appropriate place on the dial (usually around 12 o'clock) and fine...
