Small update. Went thru the checklist and determined that the P-1 is still testing okay. So that does not tell me why when reinstalled the engine would not start. Tested the coil per the checklist and it appears to also be okay. 2 ohm resistance which is within the range. Three other coils...

Dark blue with key on power to one side of ballast
Brown with power in crank only to other side of ballast.
On that side a dark blue to the coil + terminal.
That is clean looking. The wife likes to see some bling so I am thinking something like the Edelbrock one but I wanted to ask because I was worried about possible clearance issues. I also see that it looks like you changed out your coolant fitting on the manifold.
