Yeah, I found a video that gave me the procedure. However if you look at the last picture, you can see where the cylinder bottoms out in the latch. Even depressing the tab, the cylinder won't move any farther.
1) Make sure the latch on the grey part is closed, as if the glovebox was shut and latched.
2) Insert the key into the new lock all the way.
3) Slide the new lock into the grey latch mechanism as far as it will go.
4) Remove the key from the lock.
