5 blade to a 7 blade well it help

As far as I know bb mopar gaskets are reversible. So you can't really install them upside-down. Some engines have a front and back way to install them like a Ford FE. Timing certainly could affect the engine temp. Is this a quick fuel 450cfm on a big block??? Thermostat quality isn't the best...

5 blade to a 7 blade well it help

A simple way to look at this is fan speed is directly related to flow. Adding blades is similiar to turning the fan faster. Yes..a 5 blade of a more efficient design can move more air then a poorly designed 7. Design factors that change cfm are: blades #s, air foil fan blade shape, pitch and...

    So who's into tractors

I really have a great appreciation for a old tractor that will get the job done. I will keep running and fixing mine. Today..While I was reading a thread about how expensive carbs have gotten..I thought..hmm I wonder what the biggest new tractor costs...so here it is. Yikes!

"440 source" (stroker kits) for a mid 1970's 440 motor. Cylinder material removal for rod clearance.

Rods with studs/nuts typically stick out more then bolts and take more clearancing. A nut needs to have threads sticking out for proper torque which kills clearance. We had a friend at one shop polish a extra .001 on a crank. It was a experiment, it took longer then it would take to turn a...

"440 source" (stroker kits) for a mid 1970's 440 motor. Cylinder material removal for rod clearance.

Their is lot less grinding with a 2.20 journal. Our first 510 stroker used stock LY rods and a 4.25 stroke crank out of a top fuel car. That took more grinding then a 4.5" stroke with 2.20 h beam rods in a 542.

"440 source" (stroker kits) for a mid 1970's 440 motor. Cylinder material removal for rod clearance.

A 440 stroker is typically neutral balanced. It doesnt need a flex plate bolted to it to balance it. Some engine do and it sounds like this a shop that wants everyone to bring in the parts that"could" affect balancing. So if they ask for a flex plate..no harm in bringing one and not worth...

    Pirate Jack Disc Brake Conversion

The last one I did I bought some union's and added about 20" to the lines moving the proportioning valve up near the master cylinder. I first had the proportioning valve in the stock place. It was miserable down low to get to and moving it got it away from the header.
