You're suffering from the technical criteria of "tired motor syndrome". The fix....a complete engine tear down and rebuild, to refresh what you've got, with emphasis on insuring tyre valve stem caps are torque correctly........just my thoughts and opinions.....(with tongue in cheek)......

People on here have said it’s something to do with the signal from the sender. Linear vs nonlinear. Mine tests fine too, it’s just something about how they talk together.
Mine bone stock did 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and the qt 13.1 at 104.4.
That was on a hot summer evening, drove it 30 minutes there and back.
Small bolt-ons have huge benefits, if one is so inclined.
OP has an underrated undervalued gem.
Get one while you can, you will not be disappointed.
do yourself a favor and get a Mill/drill machine. its a table top model with a stand. i did and wish i would have got it decades ago and it Was sold thru HF at 1 time....C/l or facebook, not much on them to wear out...thats where this 1 came from. grizzly 1007.

I wonder if they changed it, mine are the silver ones... i read how much people hated them but i really love how the car rides, not harsh at all but not floaty or out of control feeling..
Something I need to keep an eye out for when I get around to buying the Procar seats and sliders for my 65. At least for the mounting, it's full on flat. No contours to deal with.
I believe this is the case. The original engine had been removed and replaced with a Fury 383 earlier in its life. We replaced the old tired Fury engine with another already rebuilt 383 and removed the hood. Everything else on the car matched with the OE fender tag.
yeah.. i just need to get off my butt and do it :) The vibration isn't bad at all right now, i just know it's there. The driveshaft was made by a very good place that is known for doing great work so i doubt it's an issue.. i will get under with a dial indicator and check for any runout, or...
If/when you have a chance to remove the reverse shift rod from the lever on the transmission, verify that reverse moves smoothly in and out of gear. If the side cover and/or either the 1-2 shift shaft or reverse shaft have been switched out, it is possible the reverse interlock is binding with...
