    Drill Press?

Lots of good options out there. I got lucky and got one from my cousin as he didn't have room for it. It was my Uncle's and dates to the 40's. Zero runout and works like a champ.

Do YOU go 3 or more days between showers ???

All the years working in the packing plant i showered at the end of the shift. Used to see guys put their street clothes back on without a shower and go. I have no clue how they could do that. There was always a line for the showers , we had 12 or 14 spray heads so it went pretty fast. There...

Catching up on Fred's ignition tune-up, discovered some odd stuff - help?

I'll tell you what, I am using a set of Firecore wires and a GM style distributor cap with male top connections and they are my favorite by far but expensive. Maybe the wife can hook you up for Christmas. I may have a spare #8 wire in the shop. Let me look tomorrow morning.

Thermoquad secondary throttle lock out adjustment tag broke off

Thanks Geoff and Mike. Geoff, thanks for the tip! The dashpots on both sides (this is on a 351C) were replaced when rebuilding a while back and are functioning well. I have been through the air door spring adjustments and got rid of a lean bog on take-off a while back, so all good on that...

    PDX GTX

Welcome from your neighbor to the north. Looking at your car brings back memories, back in 1977 I bought a 67 383 4spd Satellite from a chebby dealer for $150. I loved that car but events occurred that ended up destroying the car, something I still regret. Then in early 78 I was in basic...

    advice on front suspension options?

Explain first why a 1.625" OD? "tubular UCA's are needed at the least" to replace effectively a 3" 10 gauge I beam that has been supplied for nearly 2 decades almost unchanged, is still in use over 6 decades later and has a proven track record in billions? of miles.

Bobby Hart just took the last train to Clarksville

Last train to Clarksville I heard was actually an anti Viet Nam war song. It was supposedly written about a soldier stationed at an Air Force Base in Clarksville TN who was shipping out in the morning and didn't know if he was ever coming home. Boyce and Hart wrote this as a protest to the...

    advice on front suspension options?

I disagree with the lower control arm Bushings, it was a crappy design when new. Urethane or Derlin bushings and greaseable shafts and add tubular UCAs at the least. The stock stuff was designed for skinny 14” bias ply tires. With modern radial tires you want more caster than the factory can...

Catching up on Fred's ignition tune-up, discovered some odd stuff - help?

I put a standard blue streak cap on my car. Its not tan but thats not a deal breaker for me. I can’t help you with the plug wire. Was the Edelbrock new in 2017? I would hope its not wore out already.

440 source and Mancini like to advertise like they design and build,bs. Having your logo on a part just means you paid to put it there, just more white box stuff, nothing new.
