I would tend to agree with that, however, motor has not run in the car, so im guessing the original owner left the seal off?
Should i cut that plastic ring off for now? Any safety issues driving car like it is?
The M1 and the Weiand 8008/9 intake manifolds are discontinued.
They are great designs that meet specific situations (as does most any hipo part). So glad someone is still making them. And a competitive price to boot.
Lift your engine up and loosen your motor mount to block bolts and shift your engine over towards the passenger side and retighten the bolts. It should give you a little more air gap. Or figure something else out.
Also if you just need to "move" a hole slightly one way or the other in sheet metal without making it larger, a step drill works good, just push on it the direction it needs to go.
