What I am is a simple retired mechanic,tranny rebuilder,hot rodder and bike loving Army veteran.I've dealt with offshore quality issues on a nearly daily basis.
Usually if it is fuel related, you get some warning: engine runs rough, change in note, loss of power.
If it just suddenly dies, no warning, more likely to be electrical.
Is vac adv on the dist hooked up? If so. After a lot of mileage, the p/up wires inside the dist can break because...

Stall speed is based on an engine producing 230 ft/lbs of tq @ 2500 rpm. Similar to average small block. More tq will provide higher stall #s.
