It appears that my the fast dual synch distributor is hitting the side of the edelbrock rpm cylinder head on the way do and binding about a 1/4 inch shy of being seated against the block? Anyone run into this? Do I need to just massage the head a little bit?

What would cause the dome lights and the tail lights to stay on and not allow the brake lights to work?
If I have the connector for the dome lights connected they stay on. If I take plug the white wire in at the brake pedal switch the lights stay on. They do not go off if I hit the brakes...
so if I turn the key the car will start, but if I don't hold it in the start position it dies
It is a 383 with mopar electronic ignition. I replaced the
ignition switch, tumbler and keys, distributor, wires, plugs, ballast resistor
Did I do something wrong? Maybe picked up the wires...
