A new 8 3/4 setup will cost the same as a new D60. Just spring for a fresh D60 with the gears you want and forget about the diff. Or spend the same on an 8 3/4 and worry about it.

So, your point has nothing to do with "tubular", but moving the BJ back will increase caster? In regard to caster, in your opinion, how much caster is enough, and can you share any downside to be had with adding additional caster? Be careful, that last one is maybe a trick question.

Let's get something straight first ... the switch is an absolute nightmare to get at once the dash is installed. Removing the bezel ... there's a good risk of damaging the dash pads. So, do every possible check on the motor BEFORE tackling the switch. That said, do you have the correct "3-speed"...

You're welcome. I have 2 nice lefts, but no rights...And the plastic shields being mentioned are probably the ones that mount to the top of the bumper brackets, under the headlights. Metal in 66, plastic in 67.

Uhhh… I was able to get 6 degrees of caster with stock UCAs (with offset bushings) in two different cars. Tubular ones are not absolutely necessary.

This is nonsense ... the switch is grounded when its screwed into the bezel which is then screwed into the dash frame.

Nice 7 blade fan. Measures like 17" across. Number is 2863260 or 2863280. Hard to tell a 6 or 8. Asking $100 plus shipping. I use paypal for payment. Thanks jim

Because the tubular arms move the ball joint back to allow for more caster. The extra caster is the single best thing you can do for modern wide radial tires.
