I agree with everything except the last sentence. There should be required a marking on the bolt (a big star?) that indicates it's a one-use bolt, end of story.

The guy in the video is usually pretty good. But mechanics are sometimes out of thier depth when it comes to strength of materials. That is generally the province of engineering.
You don't have to remove the cluster, just the front panel, the clear lense and th black mask over the gauges, the. Remove the speedo cable and 2 big screws that hold the speedo to the cluster housing. Cana leave all the other gauges and wiring connected.

Go to the track and ask some racers that go racing this question. Look under their b-body racecars, you will see a Dana or plans of one. At 800 horsepower an 8 3/4 would be gone in a season, short season.
