This pretty little Satellite is on BaT and caught my attention. The trunk sides both have a strange bracket on the quarter panel walls right behind the wheel housings. Neither my 66 Satellite or my 67 GTX have anything like them. Any idea why this car has them? Just curious.

Are you wanting to race Stock eliminator with your car? I believe the specs are the same on a 66 and 67 383-4 bbl. So you could leave it a 66. You can't put a 67 trunk panel on a 66 lid. The 67 is concave like the panel is. A 66 trunk is flat, the 67 panel won't go on a 66 lid Here is a 66...

Until now these have not been available anywhere for quite some time. No one makes them. I have one left but may get more made up. Sold 12 so far and lots of interest. I may continue these but it costs a fortune to get them. We will see. If I get more orders I'll order more. But I have one left...

You need the trunk lid, and the pot metal quarter panel extensions as well as all the ancillary stuff like the lenses, buckets, center trim strip, etc. But it is technically a bolt on job. Note that the 66 back up lights are in the deck lid and the 67 lights are in the bumper, so if you want...
